Edwardian Period Doors (plus 20's and 30's)

Edwardian era: 1901 - 1910

At The Period Front Door Company we specialise in creating bespoke Edwardian front doors and front doors for ‘Between the Wars’ properties.

Edwardian front doors were typically more decorative than their Victorian predecessors, and stained glass became a popular feature in many front doors.

A typical Edwardian front door features three panels with glazing above the panels in a variety of shapes and sizes. Front doors from this era often featured art deco styling with a mix of geometric and decorative shapes.

All our Edwardian Period Front Doors are Handmade in the UK

At The Period Front Door Company we can match your existing front door, including replicating or including the original stained glass, or encapsulating the stained glass within a triple glazed unit.

We can also create an original design for your Edwardian, 1920s or 1930s property, with a range of moulding, panelling and paint options.

Period Edwardian Range

Edwardian, 20's and 30's

Earlier front doors from this period tended to be painted in dark colours such as green or black, but as front door design progressed in to the 1930’s the colours started to get lighter and more colourful glass designs started to appear.

All our front doors are made with the highest grade Accoya timber, which is durable, stable and thermally efficient. Our front doors feature ERA night latches and 5 lever dead locks as standard, as well as full perimeter draught proofing and weather stripping. We offer a range of traditional and modern door furniture sets, and can offer a full RAL colour range, as well matching the colour from a sample you supply.
